Design Systems - Why?
In my experience as a Product Designer at HackerRank I came across several inconsistencies that could be solved with a robust design system. I had prior experience creating a Design System from scratch but with HackerRank it was a challenge since some of the tools were live.
Vision
My vision is to set new standards in Developer-Designer collaborations. I wanted HackerRank to have a singular cohesive identity. The HackerRank Design System was innovative because it involved collaboration from different teams in understanding their requirements and business needs to create a system that serves all.
